Q: I have heard there is high lead in chicken bones, is this true?
A: This can be the case for some bones, but all Organika’s products are tested for all heavy metals and test out as less then .1 PPM, which is less than a few pieces of spinach. AKA no detectable traces of heavy metals are present in Organika’s bone broths.
Q: What type of Collagen is in your Chicken Bone Broth?
A: There are all 3 types in the Chicken Bone Broth, but the majority is Type II
Q: How much collagen is there in your bone broth?
A: The Chicken Bone broth has tested out at 92% Collagen through our laboratory tests.
Q: What is the best way to take your Bone Broth?
A: The most convenient way is to mix it into hot water so you can conveniently use it as an “on-the-go” broth. Other then that, we recommend using it in savoury recipes, soups and sauces. Check out our recipe pages for more ideas: http://organika.com/category/recipes/
Q: Are the chickens organic?
A: The chickens are fed Organic grain, but are not certified Organic
Q: Where is your chicken sourced from?
A: All chickens are non-gmo, antibiotic and hormone free, chickens raise cage free in the US. They are also allowed unlimited access to land, food, and water. All farms are USDA FDA, and FSIS (food safety and inspection service) compliant.
Q: Can I take Bone Broth and Enhanced Collagen together?
A: Yes! There is misinformation out there that your body cannot absorb all 3 types of collagen together. We recommend taking it together so you can receive the benefits from all 3 types of collagen together.
Q: What does the Chicken Bone broth taste like?
A: It has a neutral taste similar to any broth without the preservatives, and MSG added that other unnatural broths have.
Q: Are there any other spices added to your Chicken Bone Broth?
A: Our original is just a pure chicken bone broth with no added ingredients/spices/or flavours. Our Ginger Chicken Bone broth has just ginger root added and chicken bone broth.
Q: What is the difference between Bone Broth and Enhanced Collagen?
A: Biggest difference is the Bone Broth naturally contains what is called Glycoaminoglycans (GAG’s), which are hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphate, and glucosamine, where the Enhanced Collagen is strictly collagen.
Q: Why does your Ginger Bone broth contain 100% iron daily value?
A: The high iron content in the product is mostly coming from the Ginger Powder. It contains about 0.71% iron in this ingredient which is equivalent to 14 mg per serving size of 16 g (2 tbsp). Per Health Canada, the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for iron (for persons aged 2 years or older) is 14 mg per day. Hence, if you calculate for % Daily Value = amount of iron per serving size ÷ RDI x 100% = (14 mg/14 mg x 100%), it is equivalent to 100% which means 1 serving of this food provides 100% of Iron that a person should consume in one day (hence, you are meeting the daily intake requirement for iron).
